The number of Chinese illegal immigrants arrested while attempting to cross into Arizona through the busiest smuggling corridor in the United States increased eightfold in the last fiscal year. Chinese immigrants pay steep prices — often more than $40,000 — for the elaborate process of being smuggled to Mexico. This map shows the route some take to the States.
